10. Traditional Faculty of Communication Social Responsibility Project
Within the scope of the HİT-430 "Social Responsibility Campaigns" course of the Faculty of Communication, aid campaigns have been organized for schools in need for 9 years. The students of Başkent University Faculty of Communication achieved great success with the aid provided to the schools, most of which are located around Ankara. This year, on 11th of May 2022, students organized a bazaar at Başkent University Bağlıca Campus to build a science laboratory at Gölbaşı Baldudak Secondary School.
9. Traditional Faculty of Communication Social Responsibility Project
Within the scope of HIT 430 Social Responsibility Campaigns and Public Relations course opened within Baskent University Faculty of Communication, aid campaigns have been organized for schools in need for eight years. Agri-Patnos Alparslan Anatolian High School, Polatlı-Beylikköprü Village Primary School, Beypazarı Çayırlıoğlu Primary School and Kütahya/Altıntaş Yalnızsaray Primary School, Keçiören Halide Ömer Uncuoğlu Primary School and Mamak Ali Şir Nevai Secondary School and Yakacık, Ankara İsmet Kurtuluş Primary School with aids The students of the Faculty of Communication of the University have achieved a success.
In the 2018-2019 Spring term, the lecturer of the course, Assoc. Prof. Senem Güngör and the students of the class organized an aid campaign for Osmansin, Çamlıdere, Ankara Primary School. The library, stationery and sports needs of the school were purchased on 8 May 2019 with the income obtained from the bazaar organized by the students on May 2-3, 2019. Within the scope of the course, on May 15, 2019, Başkent University Faculty of Communication students (24 students) delivered the purchased materials (30 boxes) to the school. In addition, with the income obtained from the bazaar, 5 boxes of materials were sent to Şanlıurfa, Harran, Koyunluca Village Primary School.
8. Traditional Faculty of Communication Social Responsibility Project
In the spring semester of the 2017-2018 academic year, the lecturer of the course, Assoc. Prof. Senem Güngör and the students of the class organized an aid campaign for Yakacık İsmet Kurtuluş Primary School. The kindergarten and library needs of the school were purchased with the income obtained from the bazaar organized by the students on May 14-15, 2018, and the course was delivered to the school with the students of the Faculty of Communication of Başkent University on June 4, 2018. This project is important both for university students to have the chance to apply what they have learned in their lessons and to bring together the younger students in needy primary schools with their older brothers and sisters.
